On November 6, 2009, Kelle had his sentencing hearing.
At this point, there are not many options left for Kelle.
Although the Judge did have the option to set aside the verdict
from the Jury, he did not.
In fact, the Judge made unnecessary comments in open court as to his own
opinion of the case.
Repeatedly, he remarked that the evidence was overwhelming.
However, as earlier stated, there has been no physical evidence
at all.
An appeal has been filed and additional evidence will be gathered to
prove Kelle’s innocence.
Letters for assistance have been written to everyone from State
officials to The Innocence Project.
The following is the statement made by Kelle at his
sentencing hearing.
"On April 28th 2008 I experienced the worst thing ever in my life,
coming home and finding my wife, my love, killed in our own home.
We were married for 20 beautiful years. We shared every moment together
for the first seven years and then we were blessed with our first child.
a beautiful girl, Allee. For the next 12 years our lives were filled
with joy as a family of three and then we had our second child,
Isabelle's baby boy, Jadon. We shared that wonderful experience together
as a family.
Isabelle and I dreamed of growing old together. Being that old couple you
see, taking walks together, sharing dinner, holding hands, worshiping
the true God together and of course living together in a paradise earth
as a family. That dream was taken away, robbed from us.
I loved my wife and children, I love them. I long to be with them.
Tragically I was accused of this horrendous crime and that sickens me.
Such a horrible thing could not even come up into my heart and mind as a
loving Christian husband and father. And I maintain my innocence to this
day. I pray constantly that one day I will be exonerated and declared
innocent.
All I have now are memories. My life can never be the same without
Isabelle. I am reminded every second of the day of the love we shared by
the smallest things. My heart aches constantly.
I long for her touch, her smell, her love. I hold ever closer now the
Bible's hope of the resurrection in a Paradise earth, when I again can
embrace Isabelle together with Allee and Jadon."
